From 43k to 518k pages indexed. If Google can only see 8% of your site, you're not going to be getting 100% of the traffic you deserve. This massive indexing change resulted from making a small set of changes to articles lists. #seo #tecnicalseo
Pretty great to see a client go from next to no traffic from Google News to nearly 48,000 clicks over the course of a week. This comes on the heels of a change that allowed Google to crawl about 50% more pages, creating a much clear link map of the site.
AI doesn't actually remember things verbatim. It's pattern and probability based. The second you make it remember things as is, you've now built a search engine with AI layered in. For that reason, I don't think traditional search will ever die.
one of my pet peeves is when people treat AI like it's an information retrieval system. It's not. There's a big difference.

@rustybrick There is some implicit claim in the original article that the management division between Ads and Search was broken by sidelining Gomes and/or putting the guy who oversaw Ads now in charge of Search, too. The PR clarifications do not particularly speak to that.

It's already obvious to everyone that SEO is changing extremely fast. You adapt or your die. Never stop learning and trying new things. Yes, it might be harder than before, but SEO will exist as long as Google does. There will always be ways to make money in SEO.
