This week in #HouseOfLords: Members continued further check and change of the #VictimsBill, with changes on: 🟥 compensation for victims of the infected blood scandal 🟥 transparency of public servants during major incidents 🟥 data collection on victims of crime.
I rather suspect that this chap who would ban retirement completely if he could get away with it, doesn't work on a building site, an oil rig or at the back of a bin lorry. Utterly disconnected from reality. #bbcqt

* BREAKING INFECTED BLOOD* Sky News understands that the infected blood compensation scheme is to be extended to bereaved children who have lost one or two parents. This group has not been involved in the interim compensation scheme most recently paid to victims of the scandal.
I have added my name to @thetimes campaign calling on the Government to pay compensation to all those infected & affected by the contaminated blood scandal, without delay. With 2 victims dying each week, there can be no justification for further delay. Read the declaration ⬇️

As an Englishman, I wish Scotland every success in its long climb towards independence. We in England have made our own bed and must lie in it. However, it's outrageous to expect Scotland and Wales, even Cornwall to lie in it with us. As for N. Ireland, their being part of the UK…
