With each side taking turns either attacking or defending, and with frequent time outs resulting in less than 11 minutes of actual play and most of that being set pieces, it will seem like there is more action, with more advancing of the ball, which is kind of the point for the attacking side

It’s the fact that NFL fans are saying that out of the 11 minutes of action during a game, everything is a play or advancing the ball. My point was (sarcastically) that catching a ball while facing being obliterated has the added side note of having the rest of the team attempting to block, or open up so the receiver can score a touchdown. There is no such thing in football, where the Ebb and Flow is constant and play can explode at any time. It’s not a play and counter play, it’s a constantly evolving tactical situation

@F1torobravo @Grimeandreason Except you have an entire team, hopefully blocking the other team, which should allow you to do so. In Rugby you can only tackle the player who has the ball.
