If you want to add walking when you’re busy - 🗓️ schedule it. It provides you with a nudge, while also giving you the time to do it. I regularly block my lunchtime to have that break in the day, get moving and prepare for the afternoon. It's also a chance to explore 🗺️
3 ways you can add walking to your day as a busy professional to boost your well-being and productivity: • block out your diary in advance for a walk - lunchtime is good • book meetings for 25/55 minutes and walk around between meetings • turn 1:1s into walking meetings
Record your wins, however small, in a "Jar of Awesome". It can be a real jar, or an electronic note. Whenever you feel stuck or filled with doubt, read what's in the jar to remind yourself of those wins or moments of gratitude.
Sundays are for slowing down. I now try to walk whenever possible. Today walked the 2.5 miles into town at a gentle pace. Nice to leave the car behind. Now feeling refreshed and ready for coffee and writing.
Walks in nature help me to mentally decompress and feel more grounded. Seeing bluebells in bloom during my walk today was just what I needed at the end of the busy week. What helps you?

As a beginning coach, do you feel you need to learn more before you can coach someone? This belief was holding me back until I realised I needed to start, reflect and remember the value of coaching.
Walking regularly, and mindfully, means you notice things change over time. On today’s damp walk in the park I discovered: • carpets of bluebells • longhorn cattle in a usually empty field Now feeling refreshed for going outside, despite the rain.
We can feel doubtful about posting online. These simple mantras help me to push through my doubts and press publish. What works for you?
