@drgurner I was a manager of a group of engineers developing computer code for missile simulations. I would tell the newer employees that if they were not making mistakes then they were probably not doing much work. Coding, at least back then, was an iterative process.

@morganhousel When I was a kid about 12 years old my Dad ran a store in a small town. I would buy comic books in a larger town for 10¢ and after reading them I would sell them at the store for 8¢ then buy them back for 5¢ and repeat until they were too ratty to sell again.

@dougboneparth I gift my kids, their spouses, our grandkids and their spouses money each Christmas but I do not tell them how to spend it. The better the market treats my investments the more I give them. I like to see them enjoy it now rather than wait until I'm gone.
