Someone on the Facebook recovery effort has explained that a routine BGP update went wrong, which in turn locked out those with remote access who could reverse the mistake. Those who do have physical access do not have authorization on the servers. Catch-22.

@5w0rdFish Moto brands like TLD, Knox, FOX, Rev'It etc all run a number of low-profile options which include d30 pads. Looks like you're on the right track with Demon, though I'd never heard of them. Their kit looks excellent.

@5w0rdFish Bravo! You can wear pads under the rest of your gear to protect contact points. There are a lot of low profile options for MTB & motorcycling.
