@theFrostmind @lsv A restaurant should be able to afford a domain. Free WiFi was common well before the pandemic, but then again... anyone without data or power or patience can use our tablets. No one ever does, but there... we are open and work because yep, we don't alienate customers.

@theFrostmind @lsv A web menu is a zero cost option, plus most restaurants already had one. Takeout menu needs a printing service, but then again we never had a takeout option to begin with. @lsv dislikes QR codes, so do I. I use our website, was wondering if someone had a better idea.

@theFrostmind @lsv Place is big and spread out, menu changes quickly: would need many boards. That wouldn't be practical. Why no paper: menus either need to be one use only or sanitized after each use, again not practical. Current status: no QR, menu on website, we explain options by voice.

@AlisdairMered @upndatom @jabrils_ Indeed. "contains more information" depends on usage and audience, or we'd be posting cat pics with ultraviolet data to freak the birds ;) Some lossy codecs improve comprehension: to the intended audience, they carry more intelligible data

@santinellival The kinesis layout kind of makes sense if you want somewhere to start from. I've had quite a few ergonomic keyboards with different layouts and it does not change the world, but if you move them around a lot during testing, that will become a stress factor.

@DrMCecconi To that argument, the scientific answer is "That's right". What you propose is a retort, which is scientifically correct, but not really effective from a communication standpoint. It's ok to be upset, yet if your priority is making people understand, does this work?

@LucaFerrettiEvo Questo mindset lo capisco... ma credo sia stata una debolezza. Ripetere 1, 10, 1000 volte "E' sicuro! E' buono! A favore! Sì Sì Sì" non è scienza... è esasperazione. La scienza arriva fino a "E' con schiacciante probabilità la soluzione migliore"... il resto è aggressione.
