Absolutely wild for SPD to just shut its doors and stick its fingers in its ears, especially when they knew this was going to happen and could have given vulnerable, small independent presses the opportunity to like, idk…get their books back?! The literary world deserves better.
SPD closed owing many small presses thousands of dollars. For a big five or large press, this is a cost of business. For small presses, it may break some of us. Don’t let the art die. Support— donate, buy books, review, share. No support is too small
