Just days ago, we found out that Trump is circulating an executive order claiming that China interfered in the 2020 election as a pretext to declare a national emergency and ultimately to declare extraordinary presidential powers over voting. Then today, as the US bombed Iran, Trump posted: "Iran tried to interfere in 2020, 2024 elections to stop Trump, and now faces renewed war with United States." Trump is VERY clearly looking for claims of foreign interference to serve as a basis to declare a national emergency and usurp control of the upcoming election. He has threatened the nationalize the election for months. This is how he's going to try and do it. Don't let him fool you. Trump is nothing if not self-interested; he's doing all of this to help himself and consolidate his grip on power.

BREAKING: Senator Chris Murphy pens an explosive viral thread revealing that "something dark" is coming and predicts that Donald Trump will exploit the Charlie Kirk assassination for a "dizzying" crackdown on his political enemies. "The murder of Charlie Kirk could have united Americans to confront political violence. Instead, Trump and his anti-democratic radicals look to be readying a campaign to destroy dissent." In the aftermath of the horrifying assassination, Donald Trump rushed to blame the "radical left" before a suspect had even been identified. Republican media has fully weaponized the killing to justify a ruthless crackdown on liberals and people are losing their jobs for simply sharing quotes from Kirk that prove that he was a bigoted demagogue. It's not enough that we condemn the killing, Republicans are demanding that we praise this hatemonger's legacy and whitewash what he did and said. "Here's what's happening," Murphy continued. "Leaders across the political spectrum have spoken out about the need to depoliticize our fight against violence. GOP Governor Spencer Cox has led the way. But Trump and his lieutenants are spinning a lie. That the only threat is from the left." "Here is the latest post from Laura Loomer, who clearly has the ear of President Trump, calling on Trump to use dictatorial powers to destroy his political opposition. This kind of rhetoric is gaining traction in MAGA world, and Trump is now echoing it," Murphy wrote. He shared a screenshot of a tweet in which Loomer admitted that she does want Trump to become a "dictator" and that she wants conservatives to devote themselves to "locking up and silencing" their political opponents. She also repeated the lie that the right is peaceful while the left is violent. In reality, the right-wing Cato Institute has admitted that 11% of politically motivated terror attacks in the United States since 1975 were motivated by right-wing beliefs. Only 2% were motivated by left-wing ideology. "For instance, [Trump] is now saying George Soros, a wealthy political critic of Trump, should face racketeering charges," Murphy went on. "He claims Soros is involved in violence, which is just made up out of thin air. Totally, completely false." "We should condemn political violence of all kinds, whether it comes from the left or right or is directed at Republicans or Democrats. But if we really want to be honest, there is much more right wing fueled violence than left wing violence," wrote Murphy. "And the Trump/Loomer/Miller narrative that Dems are cheering Kirk's murder or that left groups are fomenting violence is also made up," he went on. "There are always going to be online trolls, but Dem leaders are united (as opposed to Trump who continues to cheer the January 6 violence). "But the right has been looking for a pretext to destroy their opposition for a long time," wrote Murphy. "Increasingly, the right views the left as an existential to a white, Christian majority nation and thus must be destroyed, as Michael Anton wrote, at any cost." "That's why it was so important for Trump sycophants to take over the DoJ and FBI, so that if a pretext arose, Trump could orchestrate a dizzying campaign to shut down political opposition groups and lock up or harass its leaders," he continued. We cannot be silent in this moment. The MAGA movement is engaged in an all-out smear campaign against the left aimed at entrenching fascist power for good. They don't want to talk about the easy access to guns that enabled Kirk's shooting and so many others like it, so they're desperate to pin the blame on liberal rhetoric. On top of that, we still don't know the alleged shooter's motivation or political beliefs. There is evidence, including meme references inscribed into his bullets, that indicates that he was a follower of Nick Fuentes and his white nationalist groyper movement. Republicans don't care about the truth and they don't care about solving the gun violence epidemic. They want to continue enabling tragedies like this while deflecting the blame. BREAKING: Justice Sonia Sotomayor issues a scathing rebuke after the MAGA-controlled Supreme Court rubber-stamps Donald Trump's fascist blueprint to allow federal officers to conduct immigration stops in Los Angeles. This court is rotten to its core... “We should not have to live in a country where the Government can seize anyone who looks Latino, speaks Spanish, and appears to work a low wage job. Rather than stand idly by while our constitutional freedoms are lost, I dissent,” wrote Sotomayor. She is the first Hispanic person to ever serve on the nation's highest court. The two remaining liberal justices, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson, joined her in her dissent. Sotamayor wrote that the Constitution's Fourth Amendment clearly protects people against unlawful searches and seizures and should be applied to everyone on American soil. "After today, that may no longer be true for those who happen to look a certain way, speak a certain way, and appear to work a certain type of legitimate job that pays very little," she stated. The court's outrageous decision means that a ruling by U.S. District Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong will be placed on hold. Frimpong had held that immigration agents can't be permitted to stop people simply because of race, ethnicity, because they speak Spanish, or because of where they work or congregate. Such racial profiling is clearly a violation of their rights. This ruling represents a dangerous step towards the white Christian Nationalist America that MAGA is building towards. Republicans want everyone else to feel like second class citizens in this country and their escalating immigration crackdowns are designed solely to terrorize minority communities and delight racists. When Democrats retake the White House, we need to seriously discuss expanding the court. These right-wing judges are ignoring the will of the people to enact the agenda of billionaires and bigots. The event sent a powerful message to the world that these dangerous autocracies are uniting in opposition to the West. The nascent anti-Western alliance comes as Donald Trump continues to alienate our closest allies and send a clear signal to the world that the United States is no longer a stable trading and security partner. As a result, the balance of the power in the world is shifting towards places like China. They may be deeply flawed and authoritarian, but at least they can be expected to honor agreements and not erratically impose tariffs. Trump has done such a historically awful job as president that countries which were once viewed as international pariahs are now seen as sane and moderate. America has never been more vulnerable. BREAKING: RFK Jr. gets his worst humiliation to date as over 1,000 current and former employees at his Department of Health and Human Services sign a letter demanding his immediate resignation. This is a reputational knockout punch... "We swore an oath to support and defend the United States Constitution and to serve the American people. Our oath requires us to speak out when the Constitution is violated and the American people are put at risk," the letter, addressed to Kennedy and Congress, reads. "Thus, we warn the President, Congress, and the Public that Secretary Kennedy's actions are compromising the health of this nation, and we demand Secretary Kennedy's resignation," it adds. The letter accuses Kennedy of continuing to "endanger the nation's health" and points to the recent scandalous ousting of CDC Director Susan Monarez, which resulted in the resignations of four key CDC leaders. The public backlash was widespread and faith in the institution has hit an all-time low. After the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, Americans need to be able to trust in the CDC. Instead, we're being forced to watch helplessly as it is politicized and dismantled. The letter draws specific attention to an interview that RFK Jr. gave last month in which he absurdly claimed that trusting experts "is not a feature of either a science or democracy." The letter describes the blatantly false assertion as part of Kennedy's "ongoing verbal attacks" against HHS workers. He is embracing conspiracy theories over trusted experts, and putting us all at risk in the process. The letter also slams Kennedy for eliminating all 17 members from the CDC's crucial vaccine advisory panel, an unfortunately all-too-predictable move given RFK's deeply held anti-vaccine beliefs. He then staffed the panel, known as the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices, with his own hack loyalist picks. These MAGA hatchet men are now responsible for making recommendations on vaccines. "We expect those in leadership to act when the health of Americans is at stake," the letter reads. "We ask other partner organizations to join us in our call for Secretary Kennedy's resignation and stand in solidarity with those who have already."
