I’ve seen a lot of beauty in my life, but I’ll say seeing the total Eclipse in Hot Springs, AR was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Experientially, the moment of totality, to feel so small & disappear into the complete, was 3 minutes of eternity. Totality or nothing.

If you have followed me for a day or years, 1 thing you know about is my love for sports. It’s my outlet from ALS. This weekend I was fortunate to attend a @kc_mavericks game! The horns were sounding all night with the 9-2 victory. The energy & love from the crowd fuels my fight!
My daughter’s 9th grade class is reading Tuesdays With Morrie. I had asked her if she was ok with it, and she felt like she was. Today, she broke down in class because the memories were too much. The scars of ALS never go away. #endALS

Although it wasn’t the result on the field I wanted… I had a great weekend in New Orleans with one of my heroes @SteveGleason. TackleALS and @TeamGleason partnered up with the @NFL, @AtlantaFalcons and @Saints to raise over $200,000 for new ALS medicines and technologies.
ALS takes away your abilities & at some point you require help to do the simplest things. Four months ago, I needed to hire a caregiver to be with me during the day. Unfortunately, this is not covered by insurance. Any help would be appreciated. gofund.me/477f5ca7

Christmas day was a huge mix of emotions. I had some truly wonderful moments... my favourite part was watching Christmas Vacation with my family. I try not to worry about the future but I kept thinking 'could this be my last Christmas?'.
