Behind-the-meter solar is working its magic on a sunny, not too hot New England day. A puzzle: Estimated contribution of BTMPV @ 13:20 was ~4850 MW, whereas 2023 CELT forecast of BTMPV installed year-end 2023 was 3657 MW (AC *nameplate*). Losses can't account for a gap that big.

@StrongTowns So true. Sprawl typically isn't financially sustainable. The cost per acre to maintain (& eventually replace) infrastructure & provide services is often greater than the meager tax revenues collected per acre from low-density development. Then there are the environmental costs…

@rmchase @modacitylife That's what I love about Zurich—a crystal-clear river/lake right in the center, with people swimming in it & relaxing or dining on the banks. In the US, the Clean Water Act was passed when? Yet our urban waterways are still unswimmable due to combined sewer overflows and runoff.
