In 2019 the GPs in my surgery did 56000 consultations for 11,000 patients. In 2021, this rose to 79,000. We had no extra staff. This year looks to be busier again - general practice is working flat out, regardless of what the media would have you believe.

Few months ago a young lad called Toby messaged me on instagram and asked if I’d follow him back, I jokingly replied .. I will if you come and spend the day out in the field with me, rather than all this through the screen stuff. He did it, his mum brought him at 5am to spend the day at @Bempton_Cliffs with me.. I used his little vlog camera to make him a video that he can share. He is a little legend, with a foot ailment that made it difficult to walk or stand for long, with a true passion for photography and determination to spend the day with me, it was unreal. He also had his dad’s old camera with manual focus and none of the gimmicks we all have in our silly cameras . All these photos are his. #wildlifephotography

History lesson for Trump: In 1939, Churchill asked America for help to fight the Nazis. America refused. Churchill continued to ask in 1940 & 1941 as Europe fell. Not until Pearl Harbour did America jon Britain in WW2. *Then they leased us food & armaments*. We paid until 2006.

Many of the British media siding with Trump on Iran after he said UK troops hung back in Afghanistan is pretty astounding and very odd.

Delete “humiliated,” insert “sought to humiliate.” 1. The right wing rags will push Farage and Badenoch to echo the Orange Man Boy and think this is a great blow to Starmer. 2. It’s not. It’s not good for the US UK relationship pro team for sure. But it is hopefully liberating for UK to pursue a sensible legal policy, and time to understand under Trump the US not a reliable ally in the way we have generally assumed.

You may think me terribly old-fashioned, but I think heads of State talking about another head of state in this way shows extraordinary appalling manners. It’s beyond lack of diplomacy. The world gets used to it, but Trump is a truly horrible man.
