1 in 3 disabled renters are forced to live in unsuitable homes. Despite the availability of government funding, landlords often decline requests to make homes accessible. I tabled an amendment to the Renters Reform Bill to stop landlords unreasonably refusing home adaptations.

Movements against past injustices (e.g. the Vietnam war or apartheid South Africa) were demonised at the time but were vindicated by history. The same will be true of protests against genocide in Gaza. Solidarity with those standing-up for what's right, here & around the world.

45 years ago today, Blair Peach, a schoolteacher and anti-racist campaigner, died as a result of being hit over the head by police. He, along with thousands of others, was demonstrating against the National Front in Southall. Rest in power.
