@littlmiffy Yes! All my OCD is magical thinking. I "decide" that various things are "unlucky" and I have to "fix" them (throw out books, CDs, cloths, walk certain ways around things repeat actions, delete files, whatever) or bad things will happen to people I care about.
Anyone have tips for actually decreasing intrusive thoughts? Is that a thing? Like i know how to cope and whatnot but it would be cool to Not picture bad things every time i think of someone i love! I am on OCD meds that help but clearly that is not doing enough here

@contractorkeith I’m the worst at what you’re describing…I’m sure it’s some kind of OCD to keep hammering until all the looses ends are tied up (which is impossible—I know)…also probably a case of what makes us successful also kills us Best of luck—if you crack the code on this please share!
@HalosOpulence @milky_selena No not at all. I feel so bad that I’m chronically late and try so hard not to be. It’s really difficult with my OCD because sometimes I go back in my house to check ovens off and doors locked 4 times. And when I get “wash your hands right now or something bad will happen”

Got into a bit of an argument over the wkend with a family member who still doesn’t understand why I turned against Trump. I told him bcuz Trump is anti-democracy. How, he asked? I gave him one example. I asked him if it’s possible to have a democracy without ALL of us accepting…
@OCDandMe123 I pretty much always feel like something bad is going to happen because of OCD. When it actually does and I'm "right", it's easy to think it was intuition.
