I have a theory that, since Covid, people have increasingly lost the capacity to emotionally regulate themselves and have largely turned to unconscious energy vampirism as a result. as a spiritual person, never in my life have I felt the need to protect my energy from THIS many people, THIS often. People are truly not well. You can feel it everywhere.

Life fucking loves you. Things work out for you. Doors open for you. Money comes to you. Love finds you. People remember you. Opportunities want you. You keep getting lucky in ways that make you laugh because of course it worked out for you again. Of course it did. It always does. It always has.

Hold people tenderly, because they’re replaceable and aren’t yours. Enjoy them whilst you’re aligned. Say the things worth saying whilst you still have the privilege of being heard. If they tell you they need to go, believe them.

Anne baban senin nasıl yaşlandığını göremeyecek.Partnerin seni çocukluğundan beri tanımıyor. Çocukların genç halini çok az hatırlayacak. En yakın arkadaşların bile geçmişinin tamamını bilmiyor. Hayatının ilk gününden sonuna kadar seninle olacak tek kişi sensin Kendine iyi davran

it’s wild how heartbreak feels so singular when you’re in it. like damn, how has anyone ever survived this? then you read books and listen to music and talk to people, and realise the heartbreak club is literally almost everyone in the world. nearly everyone is walking around having survived some unbearable grief or sorrow. it is impossible to live fully and come out unscathed

Duncan Trussell recorded this conversation with his mother while she was facing terminal cancer. What you’re hearing isn’t scripted. It isn’t performed. It’s a son sitting with his dying mother trying to hold onto every word before the words run out. And she, the one facing the end, is the one doing the comforting. That is what makes these conversations so extraordinary. Not the wisdom itself, as profound as it is. But who it’s coming from. A woman who had every reason to be consumed by her own fear choosing instead to spend what little time remained helping her son understand how to live without her. These recordings became the heart of The Midnight Gospel. And I always go back to watch it again. They remain some of the most honest conversations about death, love and what it means to be human ever put on screen…
