When I was ~7 there was a photo of two ducks in a swamp in a nat geo book my dad bought me that I was absolutely obsessed w and would look at every day. My mom donated the book at some point and I’d randomly remember the photo for years but never find it but I finally did today

Really enjoyed @talwilkenfeld making a distinction on @lexfridman show between trust and confidence. Confidence can imply a specific belief in self that can be shaken and create as much of a wall as fear. With trust there is no wall, there’s allowing and spontaneity.

@SWENGDAD The thing I don’t get about this guy is that his intended message is “I live a totally normal life and I’m happy with it” but his videos have a melancholy, despondent tone. It’s like he’s intentionally doing that to create dissonance in people and provoke a reaction.
@randomrecruiter Here are a three thoughts: 1. This manager needs to develop the skill to lead up and manage expectations. 2. Life happens. He is paid to solve problems. 3. Never post out of anger. Write to vent. Sit on it a day, then decide if it wise to post.
I have so many friends who work so incredibly hard to be so wonderfully skillful at emotions and relationships and growth and my biggest sincere wish for them is to have more places and relationships where they don’t have to be so perfectly skillful all the time.
I find myself quite skeptical of any relational practice container where the focus is on forever increasing skillfulness and never on experiencing an increased capacity to be with and relate to unskillfulness
