@GordonEdes Gordo: An old-school view (probably why they took my vote when I turned 70, which was fair). How many of these players had 8 All-Star teams (five for pitchers)? A simple test to see who dominated their time. Hope all’s well.

@IanMBrowne That feeling will never change. It was a sad day when they took my vote away. It was an honor not to be taken lightly. I still have a folder in my desk with each year’s votes. Over the years, The Globe rotated people through the Sox beat and potential voters moved elsewhere.
