Any school leaders out there have experience creating a “Parent Center” in school buildings? Not just a homework hotline or resources available in the office, but a real space to drive parent engagement - maybe even with a “Team Store” to promote school spirit.

Principals must put teachers in positions to maximize their gifts and abilities so that they can do the same for students. That’s what’s best for kids.

There are 33 days left in this school year and I am ready to quit. I have never seen more disorganization and asinine decisions from Admin in my entire teaching career. This is ridiculous.

One of the central jobs of everyone who works in education but is not a classroom teacher should be ensuring classroom teachers have enough (time, energy, knowledge, training, resources). If you nurture and value teachers, you nurture and value the children in front of them.

@heymrsbond I was just thinking today that I’ve always referred to the spring semester as Dante’s Inferno. Every time I thought I figured out a ring of hell. School would say hold my beer. After 2020, I feel like hell not only added more rings but completely changed address.
