In my head it means being able to throw at least 2 different pitches in any count, throwing a change up, locating, and emphasis on efficiency over Ks (among other things) are we on the same page?

@adamtirapelle @VandyonTigers Point being, it’s extremely difficult to calculate (for average fans, me being one of them) when losing a certain amount of batting average points to gain a certain amount of extra base hits actually wins more games.

@adamtirapelle @VandyonTigers I don’t know what data you’re using to say pitching has “disproportionally helped pitchers” but my only caution would be that analytics has shown that traditional batting statistics (BA, HR, RBI) aren’t necessarily proving to be the biggest factors in winning baseball games.

@HeadRichard6969 @MinnBaseball Skin infield is a significantly better playing surface than an unkempt grass infield. But I will agree it takes away a lot of the enjoyment of the game.
