We are in the process of breaking out our departments in our P&L. It's harder than it sounds. What % of rent do you apply to each department? What do you do if you find out one department isn't making money?
Help? I need a method to track my small engine maintenance. We have hundreds of mowers and still try to track the maintenance on paper. - tags - engine hours - oil changes - filter changes - etc Anybody got experience here?
We recently implemented weekly pay. (instead of bi-weekly) The team loves it. Good for hiring. Cheers.
It's hard running a business. Can't imagine trying to start/run a business in an unfriendly business environment like Cuba or California.
I answer a lot of unknown numbers in Spanish and pretend I am a taco shop. 1) I know this means I get more spam calls 2) I enjoy it. 3) Spammers are people too and deserve a laugh every once in a while. 4) once I got a spammer to write my business a 5-star review.
The best business education I ever received was listening to my dad take 100s of phone calls while we were driving places together. At the time, I had no idea how valuable that would be. One of the greatest gifts you SMB folks can give your kids is to just “do the things”…

Working the night shift will kill you. It’s roughly the equivalent of smoking a pack a day. This is why I refuse to hire folks in Asia to work US hours. I hire Filipinos to work the US night shift, and folks in LatAm to work day shifts. I refuse to kill my employees.
