HW3 V14 Lite is the most impressive software I’ve ever seen. The fact that Tesla can do this on HW3 literally should have all car manufacturers terrified.
@wholemars Got V14 lite today on my 2020 Model Y. Amazing how my 6 year old vehicle got a huge AI update simply by connecting to Wifi. No other company improves their product over the life of the vehicle, Tesla is singular. Love the new features!

@ChuckCook It is still not required for safe operation of the vehicle. Connectivity is primarily meant for navigation, customer service and, in general, fleet management.
@CyberSolarX @Tesla The starlink integrated in the vehicle is for streaming netflix/YouTube during your ride... it has nothing to do with the vehicles FSD capabilities ( AI software ) besides giving it a faster over the air software update capability.

Dear @AndrewZwicker, By supporting New Jersey bill S. 1677 / A. 3968 you are endorsing anti-competitive favoritism and unnecessarily delaying the deployment of lifesaving autonomous vehicle technology on NJ roads. Last year, nearly 600 people were killed in traffic crashes in NJ, and ~94% of serious crashes involved human error. These are preventable deaths. We already have real-world verifiable data showing that autonomous vehicles drive many times more safely than humans. That includes Tesla's autonomous vehicle technology. Do not give in to union pressure, special interests, lobbyists, etc. Vote against this bill and stand up for what is logical and in the best interests of your constituents. Lives literally depend on it.
New Jersey Democratic state Senator Andrew Zwicker on a new bill requiring cameras plus two additional sensors (likely LiDAR & radar) for autonomous vehicles, which would effectively ban @Tesla robotaxis in the state if passed: "This is not anti-Tesla. I'm pro-New Jersey safety;
This is insane. A New Jersey bill proposed (A3968) would require any driverless robotaxi to be equipped with cameras plus two additional distinct sensor types capable of detecting obstacles even if cameras fail (LiDAR, Radar). This bill wouldn’t allow Tesla to operate in the state since they use a camera-only approach. The requirements from the bill are: • 50,000 supervised miles with operators • Triple-sensor hardware before any robotaxi goes fully driverless. Sen. Andrew Zwicker: "At this point, I don't think the evidence is sufficient that a single sensor with software can handle situations that humans can." What? Have these people seen anything Tesla is doing right now? This bill is absolutely ridiculous. Link to oppose the bill is below.

Actually they’ve got 700 vehicles. 42 is the number that don’t have a safety monitor on board. One year after Waymo One launched, Waymo had ~300 vehicles in Phoenix. And only a few dozen were fully driverless. Nobody has ever deployed driverless Robotaxis faster than Tesla.
