@steakshapiro It’s the same old story with this team. Why do we expect anything different? I said I was done after last year, yet here I sit watching this garbage.

@poetry_in_ This is too obvious. The one in the yellow.

Learning Spanish as an adult is humbling. One minute I’m discussing investment strategy. Ten minutes later I’m pointing at something in a store saying “that one” like a 4-year-old.

@proxietuna Thanks — the AMD/Google rumor is one I hadn’t seen. That plus everything else hitting at once makes the move a little more understandable. Still feels pretty severe to me, but at least there’s more behind it than just the BofA credit note.

$AVGO down over 5% today while most semis are holding up just fine. I understand the XPV credit concern. What I’m struggling with is whether anything changed today that justifies wiping out this much value. I own it, so maybe I’m biased. What am I missing?

@goldilock3din I own $AVGO and a 6% hit feels pretty extreme for what is basically a credit concern around XPV rather than a change in the operating story. Maybe I’m missing something, but I’m having a hard time seeing what changed today that justifies this move.

I believe strongly in diversification. Apparently life does too, because this week my problems have been spread across multiple unrelated asset classes.

@GrantCardone Same. Turns out being bullied as a kid was excellent preparation for the stock market. I was already comfortable getting punched in the face for no apparent reason.

$BA is one of the few turnaround stocks I keep coming back to. The problems are obvious. That’s not the interesting part. The interesting question is what Boeing is worth if it simply becomes a competently run company again.

@JonahLupton The Q3 guidance comment is interesting. I own $APP and the reaction to the quarter seemed way overdone to me given the underlying growth. If they really did leave themselves room to beat and raise, that could change the narrative pretty quickly.

$APP is officially falling apart. Down again today with no obvious new catalyst. I keep looking at the growth and cash flow and wondering when this becomes ridiculous. $292 looks like the next stop. APP bulls/bears what am I missing?

@wealthmatica I’ve owned $ZETA for a while and it’s definitely tested my patience, but that FCF growth is hard to ignore. Still one of the companies I’m most interested in owning.

After 25+ years in investment management, I’ve learned that owning a bunch of good investments doesn’t necessarily give you a good portfolio. How they work together matters just as much as what you own.

I sold the Aug 21 KLAC $180 put yesterday with the stock at $198. Premium looked attractive. Delta was under .20. Within a little more than an hour, the delta jumped to .25. Today looks better. Patience, not panic.

A low-delta put isn’t automatically a good trade. Before selling, I want: • Good premium • Technical support • A stock I’d actually own • Enough return to justify the capital Low probability ≠ good risk/reward.
