@peterhartlaub @CAGreatAmerica @sfchronicle I was one of a handful of people who were actually there to see Lou Reed. The majority of the crowd was exactly as you describe; wandering in post-Demon. It all seemed delightfully absurd to me even then.

@JakeTapper @JakeTapper Hai proprio ragione! The "Crystal Trap" is a weak translation, though. It's just a plot point and doesn't convey the idea of what the whole movie is about, like "Die Hard" does.

#MyNameIs Sirenetta which, in Italian, means "little mermaid." When my sister, Serenella, was 6, she asked Santa for a baby sister with a name like hers & he delivered. Despite teachers' attempts to Americanize our names, my parents insisted that we be called by our given names.

@robreiner Heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Your father was one of my heroes. I'll be forever grateful to him for creating my patron saint, Sally Rogers, who showed a generation of women that they can be as smart and funny, and in some cases, smarter and funnier, than any man.
