so this very skilled young guy just took out my old dishwasher +installed another while telling me about how he barely graduated. incredible reminder that there are multiple kinds of intelligence. We need all of them and they are all equally valuable.
ADHD/Autism can be a primary dx +depression/anxiety secondary. Sometimes**depression is primary. Sometimes there’s some CPTSD in there as well. adhd is sexier than admitting we are complex humans? You have to acknowledge and treat all of it together to get optimal results

@ADHDdesigner I love language and love to be specific. So when I read a few tweets that were criticizing the way people use neurodivergent incorrectly I wanted to understand and be “correct” but I didn’t understand their beef. Ppl really have feelings about this. Linguistic and otherwise.

Do you hyper-focus on a few data points when judging a recent performance? And the data points are much more negative than positive? This habit of over-sampling negative data has ADHD connections.
@HealthyADHD Agreed. I hate that term. It doesn't mean that we can't use the way we're wired to better at some things than NT people. We can be better at responding to change, thinkong outside the box, etc. But, I'm not down for a toxic positivity message like the superpower nonsense. #ADHD
