@TheKouk 10 years later, when Paul Keating was Prime Minister, /top tax rate was 47% & cut in at $50,000. At that mark, U paid $15,300 in tax. But it gets worse. WHEN KEATING WAS TREASURER, /TOP TAX RATE WAS 60% & CUT IN AT $35,000 (1985-86). That’s worse than John Howard. OOOH MYYY.

@tonytardio Labor sources R now suggesting that they’re directing extra efforts towards Essendon even though it’s on a 12.5% margin. But with Pearson retiring it’s now considered at risk. If /12.5% wall gets breached,then that’s 43 seats at risk. H/e a uniform 7.2% (Box Hill) gets 2 majority

@TheKouk Flip side - with an exchange rate of .74 in Nov21 vs .69 now, /AUD equivalent is virtually /same in nominal terms In real terms however, whether CPI or alternatively TWI adjusted, /fall is significant (>20% over this period) So, a “dog”, yes, but still better than /Pink Pear
