Beyond excited that Florida is on the map!
Day 2, Poster 2! Today at #AAIC23 I presented on our mediation analysis to get at the complex relationships between APOE, CAA, plaques, and tangles. We show that CAA has no direct effect on cognitive decline, only through tangle mediation in individuals with int/high plaque path.
The emphasis on TDP-43 proteinopathy and LATE at #AAIC23 is really interesting. Great talk by Dr. Pete Nelson showing that ADNC+LATE-NC+ cases not only have the most severe cognitive impairment but are actually the most prevalent cases, surpassing even “pure” ADNC💡dynamic topic.
