@DepotGenius It depends. I’m normally a very “if it’s not egregious, it’s fine” kind of person. Generally, if I have to strain to see it, and even then it’s very faint, it passes.

@NoGeniusBar It’s this, and confirming basic information tbh. Me: Is (number) the correct number to call? cx: yup! Me: perfect! (saves repair) We’ll call (number) as soon as it’s ready. cx: how are you going to call me when you have my phone? So why did you confirm it was correct??

@fruitstandsavvy The amount of people that come in with no ID astounds me. I’ve even had people go as far as “apple makes it so I don’t need a wallet! This is your fault!” Unbelievable.

If you, as a technician, are purposely avoiding the “difficult” Genius Bar appointments, get off the Genius Bar & go back to Product Zone :) (I don’t mind if you need a break, but when it’s been consistent for over 3 months & management has done NOTHING, I have issue with that)

That being said, I am exhausted from having to remind PZ about express appointments and the guidelines. Tell me why every single day there’s multiple appointments that don’t meet the criteria. Or “I know it’s not express but I booked it anyway” 🤨

Someday I won’t have to babysit my entire store. That day won’t come soon, but boy do I hope it happens before I leave (whenever that is)

@Butterlegs_ Fair! I’m hoping for the same, tbh. I know someone that used to work at the store I’m looking at, so I’ve been asking them about it. Not that it’ll be the same, I’m sure. But a small idea is better than going in blind.

Most of the team I started with is gone now, thinking that maybe it’s time I move on too. I have some attachments to my store, but a change of scenery at a different store will be nice.

@productbone Oh I agree. I never try to approach my peers with “why didn’t you do this”, but rather trying to see if it was a situational thing (wasn’t working, customer said no, etc) because those things do happen. Just a little frustrating when I’m always following up with the same people.

No matter how many times I remind PZ to grab serials, run MRI pre-session (when able) or just to book things under the correct symptom, it never happens. I have a feeling this download I’m building around those topics won’t be successful either.

@WormsAndApples I worked PZ for over a year, and I’ve also done commission based sales for a major phone company for over 6. I understand the PZ is exhausted. Hitting a button and having the customer scan a QR code during check in is not a huge ask, as it’s what I did before moving to GB.

@DukeofDC24 Yeah. It’s also kind of sad, tbh. I had to explain, once again, what “cracked display” means. Common sense is nonexistent it seems.

I am at my limit of customers providing “constructive feedback” to me during a session on why the policies are “outrageous” and we “shouldn’t expect them to remember every password they create” for an account/Apple ID.

Actively watching specific people bully others out of my store. Management did little to nothing and didn’t prevent shit. What a joke.
