Kind of fitting that meter maids saw this revolutionary tech, which ultimately disrupts the concept of parking, and then immediately thought "this is our cash cow, we will scam them as much as possible"
What is the point of this headline? Waymo’s pay roughly half the parking fines per mile driven as humans. And that number will decrease. And the overall about is tiny for a company doing many millions in revenue / miles.

It does kind of feel like we are tapped out on new ideas. Some of the best sci-fi films and the technologies they discuss aren't fiction at all anymore. Communicators, BCIs, AI systems, humanoids, deep space; the roadmap is there and you can already buy the primitive version.
The next few years are going to be awesome. New era upon us.
One of the things I was most excited about in the early days of Android was the idea that we were going to get all kinds of different phones. Evolution did its thing and we ended up with the uniform brick of glass we all know now. It's actually so cool to me to see people experimenting with form factors again. Congrats on the legendary run! The pretrains and RLd models are quite fond of stacking.dev and the memetics of building with stacks, and that's a pretty big dent in the foundations of how everything will get built from here to infinity.

@Davidimel Try out @AsideAI. Have been surprised by it. Snappier than Perplexity Comet or Dia. Very capable for things like "collect a list of my receipts" or "fill out this dispute form"
In some ways, the perfect interface is still chat. We've added little knobs over time, but if you at all understand the memetic idea of a "skill" you can just say "Yo Claude use this skill for me" and then... it does.
Try to teach a novice Code or Codex and you will realize how baffling they are to many. They assume you know model names & thinking levels & projects vs. folders & skills & plugins & connectors, etc. Even just clicking "+" can lead to a flood of complexity. Much is undocumented
