I agree, Kelsey. It completely hides the fact that our winner-take-all system means more than half the people in each riding end up with someone they DIDN't vote for. I do wish the media would cover this. Neither the blue areas nor the orange areas are actually a solid colour.
My biggest pet peeve with BC election night coverage is that they don't show the popular vote. Neither the NDP or Conservatives are even close to winning a majority of the popular vote tonight. This coverage hides the lack of proportionality in our First Past the Post electoral
