Opening Range High (5-minute ORB) entries have a very high failure rate if the stock hasn't even reached 100% RVOL by that point. That's one of the reasons I don't recommend trading right at the open. The odds are stacked against you. You're often dealing with wider spreads, greater execution slippage on both entry and exit, and higher transaction costs, all while taking the risk against the odds and probability.
