For most of my life, my ADHD mind made everything feel urgent. The future. The outcome. What people thought. Whether I was behind. Whether I was enough. Trying to control it all only made me more anxious. What changed things wasn’t trying harder. It was gratitude. Presence. Trusting God enough to be here. Tapering off stimulants can feel like walking through an ice tunnel. Slow. Uncomfortable. Disorienting. Focus may dip. Energy may crash. Motivation may feel gone.
