This is not a major blow. Four Republicans crossing over is something, but I’d call it more of a warning sign than anything else. Wake me up when something like this is veto-proof. I doubt you’re getting the votes needed in the Senate when they could barely get a simple majority in the House.

Preach. Half the time I feel like I’m saying the same stuff but talking to a wall. Affordability was one of the biggest campaign promises, and for a lot of people it feels almost the same or worse than the last term. No new wars turned into “conquering” everyone else and making them states. Like WTF are we doing? Then when you bring facts, the trolls come out. I’m a smaller newer account and get trolled constantly. All they have is insults. Crazy train I guess. @mandyarthur , you must get hammered.

I didn’t see much traction on this, so I figured I’d share it.This one is wild to me. We’re told AI is going to transform jobs, entire industries, and potentially displace millions of workers over time. Yet instead of talking about protections for American workers, retraining, or how to handle the disruption, the administration wants early access to the most powerful AI models for the government. Maybe I’m missing something, but how does that help the blue-collar worker? How does it help the middle class? Conservatives are supposed to believe in limited government, not concentrating more power at the top. Maybe it helps government agencies. Maybe it helps the stock market. I’m just struggling to see how it helps the guy trying to pay his mortgage, afford groceries, and keep his job.

I’m a conservative and I voted for Trump. But “we didn’t start it, we’ll finish it” is exactly how these things get sold every time. The difference is I stand with the Constitution, not one politician. We were promised no new wars. We were told the sites were obliterated. Now we’re hearing more action may be needed while Congress gets sidelined. Asking questions isn’t anti-Trump. It’s pro-Constitution. But hey, here’s another timeline for you. Rebut it all you want. It’s hard to dispute facts.

Sorry bud, I can’t prove where every dollar went. That’s kind of the problem. I’m not blaming one administration, I’m talking about decades of them. I do have one local example: the city I work in is rebuilding Main Street with funding tied to the Biden infrastructure plan. I know because it’s a very liberal city, and they put up a big sign thanking Biden for it. But we’re the richest country on Earth. We shouldn’t still be looking at crumbling roads, aging bridges, and neglected communities. I don’t care whose name is on the bill. I just want results.

I have young kids and this is what terrifies me. I’m not a trust fund baby. Redfin says you need around $116,780 a year to afford the typical home, and only 33% of listings are affordable. How are our kids supposed to build a life? Can we get lawmakers who actually feel this pain?

Facts don’t lie. The campaign was “no new wars,” then we got the same Iran talking points we’ve heard for decades. Then the nukes were supposedly “obliterated,” but now we have to keep going because they weren’t? That’s the exact type of leadership and spin we were looking to avoid.

It means your personal tax situation changed, your credits/deductions changed, or you let the gov hold more of your money all year interest-free. IRS average refund is up about $337, not $4k (let alone $4K extra). Good for you, but that’s not the norm.

This is so messed up. He was 18. A student, a brother, a son. A family is destroyed, and his final moments sound like a complete failure by the people who were supposed to help him. Stop believing every narrative you hear, do your job, and investigate. What a freaking world. Henry deserved better.

I’m bored with this deflection. Medicaid fraud is already fraud. I don’t support it. I’m a conservative, and fraud exists in both parties.
