@ceejaytalksball Said it before. I think he’ll be fine, but he reminds me a lot of Looney coming out of UCLA. Yaxel is a decent player, but in my opinion, his ceiling just isn’t that high. I see him becoming a solid, dependable NBA player, just not someone with a ton of star upside.

In all fairness, if he really wanted the Crawford fight, he would’ve stayed with the WBO and been next in line once Vergil passed on the opportunity. He also could’ve taken the fight on BLK Prime, but at the time he said he was “loyal to Showtime.” Instead, he went the IBF route because he and Bozy were reportedly assured that once Bud and Spence fought, the winner would be stripped and he would be elevated. His moves never suggested that fighting Bud was actually the plan.

For the sake of lineage, the right way is to fight your way into position through eliminators and earn the opportunity. Those guys had no real lineage within the weight class. They simply had promoters with enough influence to petition for favorable rankings and put them in position to have those titles handed to them. Learn the sport - dumb ass📢

Didn’t he say that was for a fight at 140? Dude has already conquered four weight classes and he’s not even 30 yet. Do you know how difficult that is to do? Devin’s big ass has only moved through three. If we’re being real, the fairest solution is for both of them to compromise and meet in the middle.
