I have issues with “rest in peace.” Some people are too full of life to be resting in peace. They should be here, getting coffee, going for a morning run, going to work meetings, laughing with friends, planning vacations. They should not be resting yet.
I was looking at pictures that I took a couple of weeks before my diagnosis and well… damn ❤️🩹.
Thank you Enhertu 💕. We must now part ways and although we had our moments thank you for giving me time, I hope I used it wisely. Please be kind to others like you were to me.
It’s hard to let go of old grudges but do it for yourself not for them 🎈. Don’t be afraid to set boundaries. Don’t give so much to others that you loose yourself. Respect yourself and your time and your emotions. Be brave. It’s the only way to heal. My two cents…
Nausea suffering friends, I think I found something: Jicama. Not the yummiest but it has a crunch, high water content and is refreshing.
I work nearby my cancer center. Same freeway exit. On a good day, I turn left at the light. On a not so good day, I turn right at the light. Have been working here over 20 years, slowly staring at the hospital during rush hour traffic. As Alanis would say, “isn’t it ironic?”
Managing chemo side effects is hard. Managing cancer symptoms is even worst. Scans sucks. Waiting for results sucks even more. Sending love to everyone in the trenches this week 🫂💕.

My grandmother passed away in 2001. We were very close and her death impacted me deeply. This week she visited me in my dreams, very rare since I never dream of her. I told her I had cancer and she gave me the warmest of hugs and said it would be OK. Thank you Abuelita, Te amo ❤️
Things are looking a little shaky for me right now so I’m focusing on my nutrition. I am prioritizing: Cereal Cookies Chocolate Eggo waffles (nostalgia) Ice cream Crepes Tacos No advice needed, thank you.
I live relatively close to a Monastery and some mornings I see a nun walking her dog. For some reason seeing her brings me joy. Today we crossed paths and our dogs played for a bit. It really is the little things.
Yesterday we had tickets to the Padres game. I came home from work feeling rather unwell and ended up not going. This morning I saw the highlights of such a great game. I’m saddened I missed it and keep thinking that I should have pushed myself. Cancer you are such a thief.
Rough week: - Our dear friend @CancerCanuck won his battle. Nonetheless Jason deserved so much more. - My 5th thoracentesis. - CT scan. - Maybe last dose of Enhertu. (Thank you for 11 months of life). Today: -Fishing with the love of my life on a snowy San Diego lake❤️.

Cancer doo doo .. The Good/The Bad/The Ugly The Good - Not dead! Recovering. Recalibrating. Consuming solid food. The Bad - Chemo kicked my ass. I’ll spare you the details. It. Was. Bad. The Ugly - I am typing this from the toilet and I am out of fart spray.

The best compliment I’ve ever gotten was “you are the first time I’ve laughed after my cancer diagnosis.” 🥹🥹

A friend called this morning and clearly wanted to have a good cry about my cancer. I was like “Nope, it’s Saturday morning and I am feeling positive.” I am learning to be selfish. #fuckcancer

Today has been a good day. No painkillers needed and no sickness. I also had energy to spare at the end of the day to take my son to the garden centre to buy fruit and veg for our raised beds and we have a board game night planned.
Today has been challenging. I made it to the end, but joint pain, sickness, & headaches caused tears. Mr McGee must have a 6th sense because he turned up early to collect me from work & tidied my classroom cupboard. I came home to clean sheets, a bath with candles & a foot spa
I overheard my woman speaking to Charcoal while he sat in the window yesterday. "Oh my! I'm so happy to see you! You've gotten so big. And you're becoming such a pretty kitty!" 🤣🥰 Sure, we all speak to our pets this way, but it is funny hearing baby talk from a stranger.
