@mcmansionhell He is 94. A very uncomfortable issue in the classical music world is age related decline. Orchestra members hold on to their jobs for the money long after their best playing days have past. Soloists shrink their repertoire to Mozart, Haydn, etc.

@ryangrim Pop. decline is only a disaster to the capitalist who needs constant economic growth. Population decline means fewer greenhouse gas emissions, less land needed for housing and farms and no more wars for oil. Caring for the elderly is cheap compared to the cost of wars for oil.
