And for those who prefer using points to describe ANY change in volatility, today's move in $VX 30 (almost 2 points) ranks in the 97th %ile all the way back to the 2004 start of $VX futures.

$VX futures go back roughly 20 years now. Over that time, there have been 270 days where $SPX was down between 1% and 1.5%. The average move for $VX30 on those days was up 1% (Percent OK to use with $VX futures). $VX30 up ~11% today and that is 99th %ile.
Keep in mind that the April $VX contract expires next Wednesday so it can't stray too far from spot $VIX. This move is pretty violent but futures aren't believing spot for now. Do you like Mondays??

To be clear, the only thing balance transfer cards do is move your debt around. Transferring a balance from one credit card to another won't get rid of your debt. Balance transfers give you a false sense of security because you'll feel like you've taken care of the problem,
