@mechanical_monk Maybe not a first (that should be purely functional), but while you grow up as a programmer you should learn Erlang. What GC is to malloc/free, Erlang’s execution model is to all the thread/lock, async/await crap. It will free your mind.

I'm done optimising the new json module for OTP. Encoding is ~15%-2x faster than Jason (up to 3x faster), decoding is is ~30% faster than Jason (up to 2x faster). And I thought Jason was the peak when I started this project 😅 github.com/erlang/otp/pul…
