After a particularly difficult Monday, it was fitting to have a dream about a hotel with "comfort rooms," featuring living AI teddy bears and soft hue colored lights (like the Yotel), beds with fluffy pillows, and vintage tv/vcr combo sets, playing sitcoms from the 70s. #dreams

Hint for those new to guitar...it's a lifelong pursuit. Be realistic about goals, patient w/yourself, & happy w/ the many milestones you'll achieve along the way. Don't compare yourself to EVH or SRV or Jimi or Jimmy or Nita. You'll learn tricks, but be ok being you playing. 🤘🎸

In 2017-2018, I lost 25lbs. & maintained it for ~5 years, improving my nutrition, health, & changing my feelings about food. The pandemic took a toll, however, & I gained back the weight. Now, I'm back on track & possibly wiser, w/a goal of balancing weight loss w/satisfaction.

Don't rush communications. Spell people's names correctly. Spell their company brand name correctly. Do some research to understand their position and a little bit of their perspective before meeting for the first time. A little background and #empathy goes a long way.

When you are in your 50s, it's hard to set a long term goal with the guitar, simply because it's difficult to quantify what being proficient with your instrument means if you don't have a hope of playing in a band. I guess I'll record originals when I feel ready.

Traditional web design relies on users understanding the constrained templates in which web pages deliver information and transactions. The obvious benefit of conversational AI is that info and transactions are delivered according to the user's mental model through conversation.

Learnings from a vinyl guy (circa 2013). There are collectors who pay $$ for records & ppl like me who play vinyl and get excited to find a dusty disc they can wash and play. In between, is a "new to vinyl" cohort wanting the latest and greatest in candy colors. "New collectors."
