The young man who cuts my hair was a senior in 2020. Every time I sit in his chair missing Prom comes up. He purchased a velvet suit that he was excited to wear, heās never worn it & is considering selling it because seeing it hanging in his closet makes him sad. He deserved better.
@txsalth2o I have an idea. For their 5 (or 10) year reunion, make it the belated Prom.
@txsalth2o Hope yāall are ready for an encore because SloJoeās handlers want to declare a climate emergency.
@txsalth2o My son did not get a college graduation. He is our firstborn. š¢
@txsalth2o My son ( class of 2021) missed prom and graduation and musical performances. It still makes me sad.
@txsalth2o I have a 2020 grad. Iāll never stop being pissed on his behalf.
@txsalth2o It infuriates me as a parent and an educator. How can anyone just simply forget what we did to these kids, for no reason? Their lives were a science experiment based on control and compliance. Nothing more. Covid wasnāt a problem, protocols and made up mitigation were.
@txsalth2o More proof that there should never have been a āhealth emergency.ā If any politician is courageous enough to run on prohibiting all health emergencies in the future, I will gladly contribute to his campaign and volunteer.
This still makes me angry. My daughter was in 6th grade and leading her best life. She still wistfully recalls how life was before March 2020. It's what the kids missed and also if they had the misfortune of living in a blue-type place anywhere (w exception of Sweden) that life never returned to how it was before the hammer came down.
@txsalth2o There are things we donāt speak of much around here. Spring 2020 is one of them. Too sad. Especially because it was entirely pointless. Heās not alone thatās for sure.
