One of my strongest held beliefs is that caffeine detoxes are completely useless. Most people are thyroid-deficient and benefit greatly from the use of caffeine as a way to spark the metabolic rate and shift metabolism away from the reductive/degenerative and towards the oxidative/pro-metabolic. The idea that you are "addicted" is funny. Are you addicted to water? Sunlight? Fresh air? You wouldn't intentionally detox from sleep or good conversations or believing in God, would you? Then why are detoxing from something that is making you a healthier human being? The only thing you are detoxing from is a healthy metabolism and unlimited energy.

@thelukelamy I gotta say my lung capacity has changed massively cutting out my cup of joe.
@thelukelamy bro I literally look greyish and have dry skin on my face and dark circle under eyes when I drink coffee regularly
@thelukelamy Cut out caffeine for 11 days a few months back and bowel movements slowed consistently. Right when I brought it back they became more regular. Even if I didn’t get all the benefits you mentioned I’d still keep it in my arsenal for this reason
@thelukelamy I hear you but cycling off of stimulants and all supplements and even certain foods definitely will hold some benefit Your body shouldn't be relying on caffeine to function in both bowel movements and cognitive functioning
