In reality the allocation of “cause” is a combination of individual psychology & environment These two factors obv also impact & deeply influence one another But pushback on psych’s comes from “we only change individuals” & the convenient “environments aren’t my job” imo

I don't know how a psychologist, in 1979 when I was 16, pulled borderline personality disorder out of her ass to ultimately diagnose me, a stoic, wallflower, quiet, shy girl AND it's stuck for all these 44 years, no reviewing, just because long ago that one psychologist said so.
@rwillowfish They mistook what turned out to be reactive attachment disorder and foetal alcohol spectrum disorder for ASPD lol. I was lucky I didn't get labelled BPD but ASPD label meant that I was seen as a liar in almost everything I said, apparently I lied about the gravity of my....

Dit raakt me echt. Voor de groep waar het om gaat. Maar ook omdat het voelt als een voorbode van wat ons nog te wachten staat als het gaat om rechten van minderheden. Als juist NSC deze weg al zo verbeten en krampachtig inslaat.... Het is een onheilspellend teken aan de wand.
Het raakt me dat de meerderheid de motie van NSC beloont. Omdat dit powerplay is richting een minderheid. Maar óók omdat sabotage van democratische regels vooral werd gedaan door FvD. Dát wordt nu genormaliseerd door de partij van het ‘goed bestuur.’🤷♀️ volkskrant.nl/nieuws-achterg…
Democratische spelregels hoor je niet opzij te zetten als het ‘even niet uitkomt.’ Sterker nog: júist maatschappelijk gevoelige thema’s horen bij dat goede debat ín onze parlementaire democratie. Daarom hou ik m’n hart vast. Want de deur is hier opengezet.
Juist in een democratische rechtsstaat, spreek je met elkaar procedures af. Zodat op basis van juiste informatie argumenten worden gewogen, om dan een besluit te nemen. Het gaat hier dus niet over wat je vindt van de transgenderwet. Het gaat over de essentie van democratie.

#kptbs Frühtraumatisierte Menschen leiden oft an lebenslangen "Anfällen" von Angst, Durchfall oder Herzbeschwerden, die teils unberechenbar auftreten. Daher sind ihnen Berufe, in denen sie termingerecht funktionieren müssen, nur schwer möglich wie z.B. Radio-/Fernsehmoderation.
@SchwannDirk Aus eigener Erfahrung (als Betroffene und als Psychoanalytikerin) kann ich sagen, dass all das zwar sehr hilfreich ist, aber nicht reicht - selbst tägliches #Yoga über einige Jahre kann das vegetative Nervensystem zwar stärken, aber die "Überfälle" bleiben oft.

Van Vroonhoven zegt dat ze wil beschermen tegen te snelle en moeilijk omkeerbare stappen. Met moeilijk omkeerbaar zal ze wederom de zorg bedoelen, niet de registratie waar de wet om gaat. Terwijl er juist jarenlange (veel te lange) wachtlijsten zijn voor trans zorg.
