@codeswithroh Spot on. We hit a massive wall with RN restrictions specifically around memory and processing. If AI can help you write native Swift just as fast as React Native, the cross platform tradeoff just isn't worth the performance hit anymore.

Rewriting our app from React Native to SwiftUI just gave us a massive performance win. Our app supports bulk uploading up to 500 images in one go. By dropping RN and moving fully native, we just shaved about 25 seconds off the entire batch upload process. The difference in how native handles heavy memory and processing tasks compared to a bridge is hard to ignore.

I don't think Apple shouts about these numbers enough. In 2025: - 1.1 billion fraudulent customer account creations rejected. - 193,000 developer accounts terminated over fraud concerns. - 28,000 illegitimate apps blocked on pirate storefronts. All in exchange for 15%.

Big personal update: I am officially stepping away from building web projects for my personal portfolio. After launching a few iOS apps as a hobby and seeing real traction and revenue, my focus is shifting. While I am still running my web agency day-to-day, my personal time is now entirely dedicated to building as a solo indie iOS developer. Time to focus purely on mobile and start shipping.

The transition from idea to implementation for a new tree management platform. Current progress: • Implemented geospatial site mapping using Swift. • Built out the logging system for tree-specific data points: DBH, height, and health status. • Developing the backend infrastructure to handle complex reporting and site history. This is a full-stack project built for a high liability industry. Moving fast on the core architecture and looking forward to seeing the MVP built.
