When you read about the Fairchild Air Force Base crash in 1994, the long chain of events leading up to Lieutenant Colonel Arthur Holland's killing himself and his entire crew looks identical to what you're seeing from Hegseth now. Repeated safety violations ignored by higher-ups, a culture of the dumbest kind of fake masculinity as the basis for dismissing or downplaying behavior that posed a threat to the public, all resulting in four needless deaths. The worst part is that Holland's superior, Colonel William Pellerin, who knew Holland was a walking time bomb and did nothing, only got a slap on the wrist. If a flyover results in civilian casualties today, Hegseth will give somebody a medal.

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents were filmed assaulting, handcuffing, and kidnapping a U.S. citizen in Passaic, New Jersey… while refusing to even look at the ID he repeatedly begged them to check. A man is pleading with federal agents to verify who he is… And they refused. Instead, one agent says, “We need to get him on the ground,” puts him in a chokehold, throws him to the ground, and multiple agents pile on top of him before handcuffing him, and throwing him into their vehicle. Under the Fourth Amendment, the government cannot arrest, or seize someone, without probable cause that they have committed, are committing, or are about to commit an offense that authorizes the arrest. U.S. citizens are also not required to carry identification unless they’re driving a motorized vehicle. And if federal agents are refusing to verify someone’s identity before arresting them, then they are openly ignoring the constitution. Which should terrify every American. Because that means no one is safe from being kidnapped by the government… and disappeared. Every agent involved should be publicly identified, and DHS should be forced to explain why they believed they had the legal authority to seize someone, while refusing to verify who he was. This cannot become normal.

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents are now kidnapping Native grandmothers in Chaparral, New Mexico. A Native woman pulled into a gas station because she realized she was being followed by a truck. Moments later, ICE agents surrounded her and escorted her to one of their vehicles. This is a woman whose ancestors lived on this land for thousands of years before the United States even existed. A Native woman, on her own ancestral land, being treated like a foreigner by the federal government in 2026. The Fourth Amendment protects people from being unreasonably stopped or detained, and the federal government cannot lawfully target people simply because of their race or ethnicity. So why did ICE agents stalk and kidnap this woman? This stopped being about immigration a long time ago.

At a certain point we will simply have to decide, collectively, that being entertained all the time is unhealthy, that some things should only be done by humans, that the artistic and intellectual life is worth pursuing and defending, otherwise we’re not going to make it.

It shouldn't be remotely controversial that the death of a man with his 3-year old daughter in the back seat who wasn't even the target of the mission is heartbreaking and must be investigated thoroughly. They dragged his lifeless body out of the car and still handcuffed him. ICE has lost any semblance of trust or respect. We must demand immediate change from top to bottom before more die unnecessarily. This is a moral imperative.

Last year some regrettable cost cutting decisions were made about foodborne pathogen testing, ending 28 years of screening for cyclosporiasis and quickly catching and quenching several outbreaks. Now we still have no idea what the source of this outbreak is. This is the price!!!

Ok hear me out: instead of all of us having to become extremely knowledgeable on a new infectious disease every 3-6 months, what if we got a large group of experts together and just put them in charge of giving us easy to understand health recommendations. They could also do things like track outbreaks and predict future concerns.
