@skdh Elon, and everyone else, seems to have not read the conclusion of the simulation paper, where it states that most likely humanity will go extinct before we develop the requisite technology. Nick Bostrom states online that he doesn’t see evidence for the simulation conclusion.

@lauriewired was working with higher level primitives in the frequency domain, and then a lower layer would be actually generating the samples and servicing the buffer interrupt. If the higher level misses a frame, the lower level is using the previous frame’s parameters, maybe decayed. 2/2

@zeganstyl @lauriewired We are talking about real-time audio. There is a linear relationship between your buffer size and latency. 100-500 ms of audio latency is *very* noticeable.

@skdh For some reason a lot of our cities are built in places that are uninhabitable some or all of the time unless you have AC, and being at base puritanical, we don’t believe in the uncleanliness of just sweating. We also probably weigh more and are outdoors less idk.

@EOEboh Operating systems besides Unix. But here’s a fun fact: in the QuickTime container file specification, on which MPEG-4 Part 12 (.mp4 files) is based, dates are stored as an offset from Jan 1, 1904, and I have to assume that this is due to the advent of motion pictures.
