Sehr bedenkliche Ergebnisse. Ein Blick auf die Methodik ist da natürlich spannend, doch Infos dazu sind leider etwas dünn. Ein gutes Beispiel einer von den Medien verbreiteten Studie, die aber leider - wie so oft - mit einem schmalen Budget durchgeführt wurde.

Thanks to @mkirchhof_ for this nice promotion of our recent paper. Besides the ommited variables mentioned by him, measurement errors are another source of aleatoric uncertainty. And then there are the many ML applications that don't even aim to describe deterministic relations.
If I say that there is irreducible (aleatoric) uncertainty in every ML task, that doesn't mean I don't believe in determinism of the physical world. Here's why: 🧵1/9
