was catching up with a swe friend, he’s very early to this agentic development stuff 5 min into the convo of me explaining how Im building and growing my new saas with ai made me realise we’re in two different realities at the moment Even the discourse on here recently about software factories made me realise that some us are in the 1% of the 1% there’s a quite revolution of builders like myself we’ve now mastered agentic workflows with one model rather than switching and jumping around providers like 99% of people do here who aren’t actually building things I’ve gotten so good and incredibly fast at shipping ideas with Fable that it makes no sense for me look at other providers My biggest advice here if you really want to take advantage of this stuff is stick with one provider, master that harness well, understand the model and its quirks Because I’ve done this with Claude, the results compound Fable builds my product Fable measures and grows my product Fable handles my marketing Fable handles my customer support Everyday I just start a convo with Fable and ask for what I want Fable just understands how it should work in our environment I am telling you that I no longer have to steer and micro manage the model I stopped doing this 3 months ago my saas just broke 1k MRR, solo founder and I intend to get this to 10k then 100k The product is literally evolving every day and we’re moving at rapid pace This is what you need to do to compete now I literally just ask what I want to have in the product and my users have it by the end of the day

@levelsio didn’t realise we were early even in the we were early segment

working on my new saas (genai media) has been the hardest thing I’ve ever worked on - most competitive market in ai space - massive levels of fraud - absolutely crazy economics to balance and make any money - the most non deterministic ai models (video) to tame - constantly evaluate new models every 4-6 weeks now and rip out your pipelines

Fable 5.1 is an insane release. I have shipped 4 meaty new features to my users today Feature request please @bcherny @trq212 @amorriscode allow us to see our Claude code web sessions in the cli agents view It’s annoying jumping between the two I kick things off on the web but the cli is my main area I want to see the web sessions there too Even better, make it seamless to jump into those from cli within agents view Or kick them off from here too

I’ve noticed recently with Fable, it wants to do the entire work Even with ultra code on and you ask it to use workflows It’ll drive as much as possible solo and only delegate mechanical stuff Maybe it doesn’t trust opus too lol If you don’t explicitly ask to use workflows with opus, fable will choose fable which will burn your quota like crazy Hoping opus 5.1 will be an actual improvement because this combo is actually pretty good Fable - orchestrator and Mission Control changes Delegates to opus workflows for mechanical stuff

been using Fable exclusively to build my saas since it first dropped Here’s the analysis so far as Fable 5.1 nears > blew me away when it was first introduced > literally helped me launch my saas and cleaned up so much slop from opus > noticed degraded intelligence once it was re released to the public > since then it’s been mostly good enough, much better than opus but not near the level of strength it showed in first release The last week Fable has been the strongest since its release, maybe even better I wonder if it’s because of the upcoming 5.1 release

this model is great not using it in my app, still don’t trust the h3 model itself for production workloads after initial experiments but been using this for my creative needs (social media stuff) and it’s great
