Marc Boiron (@0xMarc), the CEO of Polygon Labs (@0xPolygon), shared with us that the Open Money Stack came from a problem institutions kept running into when trying to come onchain: they'd get lost throughout the process. "[Fintechs and banks] would come to us as and say: we want to offer stablecoins to customers, but we don't know what to do." "When all was said and done, we ended up introducing them to 15 to 20 different companies. They were trying to figure out what to use, and they got completely lost." "We heard again and again: this is too complicated, it takes too long. We saw potential companies that would come onchain just give up. So for us this was a very obvious need. Especially after the GENIUS Act, everyone wanted to come onchain. This was purely out of demand from customers saying it's too hard to do this. Make it easier."

cryptos ux problem has always come down to the mom test, if your mom cant use crypto without learning what a seed phrase is youve already lost her. but with the Open Money Stack the friction just goes thanks to embedded wallets. give someone a wallet when they sign up, let them hold money, send it, grow it, without them even knowing theyre using crypto, and the ux problem disappears.
