I stumbled upon Michael’s selling “Jaws” candies. It’s amazing to me that there’s still merchandise for a film nearly 50 years old, that hasn’t been rebooted in recent years or has had a new sequel since 1987. The power that film still holds is such a testament to its greatness
So apparently there’s not just one, but TWO “Evil Dead” films in the works, each by a different director. I’m ALL for more “Evil Dead”, being that it’s one of my favorite franchises, as long as these are born out of great ideas versus the need to pump out more content.
#OTD in 2007, “The Poughkeepsie Tapes” was released. What are your thoughts on this controversial found footage film? (Also, did you know the mask used in the movie was a “female Michael Myers” mask made by Don Post Studios in the early 00’s?). #HorrorCommunity
After a terrifying debut in “The Conjuring 2”, I’ve found the standalone films about “The Nun” (AKA “Valek”), to have been less than stellar. Speaking for myself, I think they need to take a different approach with the character. Maybe the Nun needs to try comedy instead. 😂

I was playing around with the absurd idea of the FBI consulting a mute killer instead of a vocal one like Hannibal Lecter. The first one I did was of Michael Myers, but “Sam” from “Trick ‘r Treat” felt like the right fit to me.
#OTD in 1981, Oliver Stone’s “The Hand” was released in theaters. I remember this one being talked about a lot when I was younger (granted we had far less choices in media back then), but never hear it discussed anymore. Any fans of this one? #HorrorCommunity
