@rahulj51 Part what you said is right — Marketing. But that is one-way. Maybe more two-way crossover of practices, tools, workflows, functionalities, etc will blur the lines, rather than the black boxing that's prevalent today...

@rahulj51 With data engg, somehow feels the hybrid crossover has ways to go. High entry barriers, low inter coupling, large flux of tools, no stable place to stand — creates a black box. "leave 'em to their own tools" situations.

@exAspArk This is a circulated narrative. 1) this was 1000s of years ago, 2) even then minted silver was majority for daily use, people were not dealing in gold everywhere, 3) it still doesn't answer why *today* one would use bitcoin to buy normal stuff if it's exponentially increasing

Question about #bitcoin. How can it be best of #commodity (new gold or real estate) *AND* #currency (casual payment) at same time? People don't use something multiplying in value for casual purchases. Isn't being a #commodity and #currency fundamentally against each other?
