@ThePensInsider Not sure what my expectations should be bc this was a long time coming after 3 cups. It just leaves a bad taste bc the window shouldn't be closed yet given how the core is still performing. When the window closed I always expected that to mean the core wasn't performing anymore.

@ThePensInsider That’s exactly what I was thinking while watching (these aren’t on Ned). It’s not like the playoffs are a lock now. Tough decision, but I don’t trust turning the keys over to a guy who struggles in big games and hasn’t played in 10 games.

@AGretz But over the last decade, it feels like there are 99 “meh” or bad returns for every one of these. So odds are still very slim that it would be worth it. I’d rather have a Guentzel rental on the Pens.

@JoshYohe_PGH The Pens have a great reputation of rehabilitating defensive players who have lost their way (Pettersson, Schultz, Niskanen, etc), but seem to struggle with developing defenseman they draft or that were successful prior to joining the team (like Graves). Why do you think that is?

@DannyShireyPGH Agree that he’s a disappointment for the role he was put in (and counted on for). His contract seems reasonable for a No. 4 D in my opinion, though ($4.5 AAV). Term sucks, but do you feel like he is overpaid for the role he can play?

@JeffMarek Love the show. I realize there’s a lot going on with the Canadian teams, but it would be great to hear more about non-Canadian teams on the podcast, too. Would you consider doing multiple podcasts to spread the hockey-talk about a bit more evenly? Maybe division based?
